Kill the signal. Lock the wheel. Most cars today are stolen without the keys: thieves copy your key fob signal from outside your door, program a new key, or plug into the car's electronics. The Night Kit stops both sides of the job.

  • Steel Lock: loops through your steering wheel and clicks into the seatbelt buckle. The car can't be steered, and the lock head covers the release button so only your key opens it.
  • Signal Box: drop your key fob in when you get home. A relay box outside picks up nothing to copy.
  • Signal Pouch: the same protection for your key on the go.

Five seconds a night. The signal green sleeve shows through the windshield, so thieves move on to an easier car.

Two layers.
No easy way in.

Most cars today are stolen electronically: relay boxes copy your key fob signal, key programmers make a new key, CAN injection tools start the engine. None of them can turn a locked steering wheel.

  1. Kill the signal

Your key fob sleeps in the Signal Box. Nothing leaves the house for a relay box to copy.

  2. Lock the wheel

The Steel Lock ties the steering wheel to the seatbelt buckle. Even with the door open, the car can't be driven.

  3. Be the wrong car

The green sleeve shows through the windshield. Thieves look for the easy car, and they move on.

He can't just unclip it: the lock head covers the seatbelt release button
The buckle

He can't just unclip it.

The lock head slides over your seatbelt buckle and covers the release button. No button to press, nothing to pry. Only your key opens it.

  • Covers the seatbelt release button
  • Twin braided steel cables
  • Soft sleeve, no marks on your wheel
Night ritual: key fob in the Signal Box, Steel Lock on the wheel

5 seconds. Every night.

  1. Keys in. Drop your key fob in the Signal Box by the door.

  2. Wheel locked. Loop the Steel Lock through the wheel and click it into the seatbelt buckle.

  3. Lights out. Your car is now the wrong car.

To unlock: key in, one turn, and it slides off.

A flashlight reveals the green Steel Lock through the windshield at night
The deterrent

What a thief sees.

Thieves walk a street looking for the easy car. The signal green sleeve and its reflective stripe show through the windshield, in daylight and in a flashlight beam. Yours stops being the easy one.

  • Reflective stripe catches flashlights
  • Visible through the windshield

One job: keep it parked.

A bar lock left in the back seat protects nothing, and a GPS tracker only helps after the car is gone. The Steel Lock goes on in 5 seconds, so it actually gets used.

Can't they just unclip it from the seatbelt?

No. The lock head sits over the buckle and covers the release button. Only your key gets it out.

Can it be cut?

With enough time and power tools, any lock can. Its job is to make your car the slow, noisy, visible option when the next one has nothing. Thieves look for the easy car, and they move on.

Will it fit my car?

It fits most sedans, SUVs and pickups with a standard steering wheel and a driver seatbelt buckle. Not sure? Send us your make and model before you order and we'll confirm.

Will it damage my steering wheel?

No. The cables are covered by a soft fabric sleeve where they touch the wheel, and nothing is wired into your car.

Why the Signal Box if I have the lock?

They stop different attacks. The Signal Box stops relay theft, where thieves copy your key fob signal to open and start the car. The Steel Lock stops the car from being driven, even if they get inside. Two layers, no easy way in.

My car has an immobilizer. Do I need this?

Relay boxes and key programmers are built to get around immobilizers. A locked steering wheel is steel, not software: there is nothing to hack.

How many keys do I get?

3 keys with every lock. Keep one on your keychain, one at home and one somewhere safe.

Protected tonight

Tonight, lock it down.

Keys in the box, steel on the wheel. Five seconds, and your car is the wrong car.
